Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our geriatric department. As a leader in geriatric care, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality medical care to our patients and developing strategies to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to the geriatric department, including developing policies and procedures, managing budgets, and evaluating department performance.
  • Clinical Oversight: Oversee the provision of medical care to patients, including assessing their medical needs, developing personalized care plans, and monitoring patient outcomes.
  • Staff Development: Lead and develop a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and medical assistants, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, hospitals, and community organizations, to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • Credentials: Valid MD license in good standing to practice medicine in the State of practicing, Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine, and minimum of five years of clinical experience required.
  • Experience: Experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred, or willingness to undergo appropriate training upon hiring.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of geriatric medicine and the special needs of complex geriatric patients, fellowship or additional training in Geriatrics preferred, and understanding of the culture and needs of socially and ethnically diverse populations.
