Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join our team at the Leonhard Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Education. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in several Center projects related to educational innovation, collaborating with faculty to design and evaluate projects in engineering education, evaluating College-level educational initiatives, and supporting faculty development efforts by offering college-wide workshops on evidence-based instructional practices and educational research or coordinating/leading Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research using qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate the effectiveness of educational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty to design and evaluate projects in engineering education, ensuring alignment with the College's strategic goals.
  • Evaluate College-level educational initiatives, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Support faculty development efforts by offering college-wide workshops on evidence-based instructional practices and educational research or coordinating/leading Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs).
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in an appropriate field, such as engineering education, educational psychology, or higher education, by the start of the appointment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to publish and present research findings at national or international conferences.
  • Knowledge of current trends in engineering education is desirable.
