Position Overview:

The Paving Supervisor will be responsible for directing and managing paving operations at construction sites, ensuring that all projects are executed safely, efficiently, and meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in paving operations, demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and uphold a commitment to safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision: Oversee daily paving operations, including the management of paving machinery and equipment.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate a team of paving operators, laborers, and subcontractors.
  3. Project Review: Analyze project plans and specifications to ensure precise execution of paving tasks.
  4. Site Monitoring: Conduct inspections to assess work progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper upkeep and functionality of paving equipment, including routine inspections and repairs.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any project-related issues.
  7. Safety Enforcement: Implement and uphold safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel.
  8. Training: Provide guidance and training to team members on paving techniques and safety practices.
  9. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials utilized, and labor hours.
  10. Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve on-site issues or conflicts promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in construction or paving is advantageous.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in paving operations is required.
  3. Strong understanding of paving materials, techniques, and equipment.
  4. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  7. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
  8. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  9. Authorized to work in the U.S.
