About the Role:This 35-bed progressive care unit provides specialized care to complex patients admitted with renal, urology, and pulmonary hypertension conditions. As a critical care nurse specialist on this dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with physicians, other interdisciplinary team members, and develop expertise in managing complex monitoring and drips, AV fistulas, and peritoneal dialysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with renal, urology, and pulmonary hypertension conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
- Monitor and manage complex IV medications, including those for pulmonary hypertension.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and valid nursing license.
- BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $110,000 per year (estimated based on national averages for registered nurses in Texas).
