POSITION SUMMARY:


The Precision Machine Assembler will be responsible for the assembly of advanced machine tools and automation systems from various components. This role includes plumbing hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems, mounting essential electrical components, and conducting machine alignment checks and geometry corrections during the assembly process and post-powering. Additionally, the assembler will install completed machines at client locations.

This position necessitates a blend of technical skills, innovative thinking, and effective troubleshooting capabilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Review assembly schematics and specifications to efficiently plan the assembly process. Assess kitted components for availability.
Secure components together using hand tools and pneumatic devices according to precise assembly schematics.
Ensure proper functionality and alignment tolerances of all parts and assemblies.
Inspect and evaluate assemblies and accessories for defects utilizing testing equipment.
Safely operate an overhead crane and other material handling devices.
Confirm functionality and adherence to specifications by operating the machinery.
Set up and operate grinding and milling machines for component fabrication or modification.
Conduct machine alignment and correct discrepancies through hand scraping or laser techniques.
Document activities, including drawing correction notes, inspection reports, and service documentation.
Achieve certification for machine installation at client facilities.
Perform additional tasks as required based on scheduling and workload demands.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in machine maintenance or ASE certification is preferred.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuit theory, basic electrical principles, and a minimum of 2 years of mechanical or automotive experience is essential.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (15-20%).
Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, with strong communication abilities.
Experience in tool and die machining, CNC programming, robotic programming, laser alignment, and customer training is preferred.
Ability to provide personal tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds unassisted and utilizes overhead cranes for heavier loads.
Stands for extended periods, bends, stoops, reaches, and moves frequently.
Exerts force to move objects and follows instructions and schematics accurately.
Employs hand movement, hand-eye coordination, close focus, and depth perception.
Work involves contact with metals and oils in a well-lit, temperature-controlled environment.
