We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiologist to provide high-quality patient care, conduct research, and participate in educational activities at the Veterans Health Administration.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide cardiology care for inpatients and outpatients at the VA Medical Center
- Perform full general cardiology examinations on established or newly consulted patients
- Admit and manage patients admitted to the cardiology service
- Participate in rotating coverage of the inpatient cardiology service
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Communicate and document with clarity to patients and medical personnel
- Complete medical records in accordance with VA policies and procedures
To be eligible for this position, candidates must:
- Be a United States citizen
- Hold a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree
- Have a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
- Have completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
- Be proficient in spoken and written English
Board certification in cardiology and 2-3 years post-fellowship cardiology experience are preferred.
