About the Role

The RN Residency Program at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is a comprehensive, 12-month transition-to-practice program designed to support new graduate nurses in their professional development. As a nurse resident, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, developing the clinical judgment, communication skills, and professional commitment necessary to excel in your role.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to individuals from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Function within the framework of hospital policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability.
  • Maintain standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a nursing program.
  • New graduates of a nursing program eligible.
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
