We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):
1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing capabilities.
2. Utilize standardized evaluations, observations, and interviews with patients and families to identify communication and swallowing disorders.
3. Create personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient objectives, and clinical expertise.
4. Establish realistic, measurable short-term and long-term goals for each patient.
5. Deliver evidence-based therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing challenges.
6. Implement tailored therapy techniques and strategies to meet each patient's unique needs.
7. Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
8. Prepare and submit necessary reports to healthcare providers, insurance entities, and regulatory bodies.
9. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and dietitians.
10. Effectively communicate with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education, support, and strategies for skill reinforcement outside of therapy sessions.
11. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
12. Stay updated with the latest research, trends, and best practices in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and professional development.
13. Adhere to all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards, including those established by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing boards.
14. Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
15. Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and in-service training sessions.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):
1. Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
2. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the practicing state.
3. Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently completing the ASHA Clinical Fellowship Year requirements.
