Job Summary

The AV Systems Designer/Programmer II role involves working with the AV team to configure, program, and maintain the AV equipment supported by CTL across campus. This includes gathering requirements, creating preliminary AV system designs, selecting appropriate equipment, programming control systems, designing user interfaces, and providing ongoing support and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and program AV equipment, including control systems and user interfaces.
  • Design and implement AV system designs, including selecting equipment and programming control systems.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for AV equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with the AV team to ensure seamless integration of AV systems with other campus technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging AV technologies and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as information technology, computer science, or electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in audiovisual technologies, including systems design and maintenance.
  • 2+ years of experience with Crestron and Extron audiovisual programming.
  • 2+ years of experience planning and coordinating materials and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Experience with Python programming.
  • Proficiency with emerging technologies and their appropriate application to teaching and learning.
  • Computer and device security knowledge (hardware, and software).
  • Basic tool skills, soldering, cable crimping.
