Key Responsibilities- Perform mobile diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and EKGs, in a variety of settings and locations.
- Collect and verify patient information and order documentation prior to procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Operate portable radiologic equipment and determine exposure factors based on patient needs.
- Process and transmit images in a timely manner, ensuring diagnostic quality.
- Complete records, visit logs, and reports according to standard protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Travel to patient locations, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and correctional institutions.
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or state x-ray license.
- Hold a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds and walk up and down stairs easily.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
DispatchHealth Management is building the world's largest in-home care system to deliver trusted and compassionate care to all. Our emergency medicine and internal medicine trained medical teams are equipped to treat common to complex injuries and illnesses.
We work closely with payers, providers, health systems, EMS, employer groups, and others to deliver care in the home, reducing unnecessary emergency room visits, hospital stays, and readmissions. Our acute care medical teams are available seven days a week and holidays, and can be requested online or by phone.
DMI and PPX radiologic technologists travel locally to diagnose patients in their own homes or at facilities.
