Position Overview:
As a key player in our pharmacy team, you will provide guidance in the precise preparation and administration of medications, ensuring that patients receive tailored drug information and dosing. You will play a crucial role in identifying and reporting medication errors and adverse drug reactions in accordance with established protocols. Building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families is essential, as is your commitment to ongoing education and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation, verification, transport, and delivery of medications to various healthcare facilities.
- Deliver exceptional patient care by optimizing medication management and addressing medication-related issues.
- Prepare and dispense medications, provide drug information, and manage medication therapy in compliance with all relevant regulations and institutional policies.
- Supervise the work of support staff, ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of all medications prepared prior to patient administration.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Technical Skills Required:
- Pharmaceutical Computer Proficiency: Basic understanding of pharmaceutical software applications to support medication processes.
- Drug Preparation and Dispensing: Intermediate proficiency in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with safety and sterility standards.
- Medication Management: Intermediate skills in evaluating medication appropriateness and monitoring patient therapy.
- Mentoring and Coaching: Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to colleagues.
