Faculty Position in Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience

The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is seeking a full-time faculty member at any rank to join our team. As a wellness psychiatrist, you will have the opportunity to work with University of Chicago faculty and trainees, including graduate medical students and residents, to provide outpatient care and collaborate with other wellness programs across the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient care to University of Chicago faculty and trainees
  • Collaborate with other wellness programs across the university
  • Lead and expand the department's efforts on compassion fatigue and the development of a faculty and staff Wellness Program
  • Teach and supervise trainees and students
  • Engage in scholarly activity

We welcome applicants with experience in wellness programs and a strong commitment to teaching and research. Academic rank and compensation are dependent on qualifications.

To be considered, applicants must have a medical doctorate or equivalent, hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, be Board certified or eligible in General Psychiatry, and have residency training in Adult Psychiatry.
