Job Summary

Vantage Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring our installed systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management and monitoring tools.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Consult with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Ensure that staff receives on-the-job training.
  • Carry a cell phone and remain "on call".
Requirements
  • Experience in and understanding of credit union information processing and practices.
  • Experience working with infrastructure monitoring tools and systems.
  • Experience with structured execution of projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of related infrastructure best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science/engineering preferred, or relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years supporting two or more of the following infrastructure technologies or services: VMWare, Windows OS (Desktop and Server), Cisco telephony, Cisco Unified Computing Systems, SQL, backup solutions, SAN/NAS, BCP/DR, Windows Domain services.
Physical Requirements

This position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions:

  • Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period of time.
  • Occasional travel or moving from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building.
  • Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device.
