MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Anesthesiologist.
Position Overview:
- The anesthesiologist will provide pediatric anesthesia services, catering to neonates and children up to 18 years of age. This includes managing anesthesia for complex cases such as trauma, neurosurgery, spinal procedures, and airway interventions.
- The selected candidate will become part of a close-knit group, being the 7th anesthesiologist in the practice. The role will involve a combination of Anesthesia Care Team Model (working alongside pediatric CRNAs and Anesthesia Residents) and a smaller percentage of Solo Staff Model.
- The anticipated work schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekend and evening on-call duties distributed fairly among the team of pediatric anesthesiologists.
- Opportunities for additional earnings are available for overtime and weekend shifts, with extra compensation for on-call responsibilities.
- Academic roles are available, allowing for teaching opportunities with medical students and residents.
- The facility is a Pediatric Level II Trauma Center, equipped with 106 beds, and serves as an academic site for medical education.
- There is a nearby adult hospital that provides additional pediatric anesthesia coverage, which the selected individual will be expected to assist with.
- This is a full-time employed position offering a competitive salary, productivity bonuses, relocation assistance, a comprehensive benefits package, and the advantage of no state income tax.
- Utilization of the Epic EMR System is standard.
