Unit Overview:
The Acute Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Unit (Meyer 7) is an 18-bed adult inpatient unit that specializes in rehabilitation services, including Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on rehabilitation for various conditions such as amputation, spinal cord injuries, complex medical issues, brain injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, and strokes. A Neuropsychologist is part of the care team, providing support to patients, families, and staff. You will collaborate closely with the team to develop comprehensive inpatient and discharge care plans.

Position Details:
Registered Nurse 2 - Acute Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Meyer 7) - This role is designed for experienced RNs who have achieved RN I competencies.

Qualifications:
  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
  • An associate degree in Nursing is required.
  • Tuition reimbursement available for BSN/MSN programs, with enrollment required within one year of hire and completion within five years.
  • Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or Compact State Registered Nursing license is mandatory.
  • CPR/BLS certification is required, with accepted certifications from AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
Key Responsibilities:
  • As an experienced nurse, you will mentor new graduate nurses.
  • Participate in unit-based committees.
  • Educate patients and families to ensure safe transitions to home or lower acuity facilities as needed.
