JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an Ink Technician (also referred to as a Pre-Match Technician) to join our manufacturing department. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Exhibits a positive attitude towards work and punctuality
- Adheres to instructions with a keen attention to detail
- Effectively communicates with team members
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
- Capable of lifting 40 pounds or more
- Eligible for forklift certification
- Ability to distinguish colors for matching purposes
- Demonstrates mechanical aptitude
- Basic proficiency in computer operations
- Completion of vocational training in machine shop is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
A qualified Ink Technician will be responsible for the following tasks, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring production continuity by matching inks for production orders
- Creating mid-run ink additions as required
- Upholding quality standards by verifying the weight and contents of inks
- Conducting in-process batch color matching
- Documenting all process events accurately
- Approving batches for printing operations
- Inputting ink mix formulations into the color computer
- Providing essential information to the incoming shift
