We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer of Business Analytics to join our faculty at the University of North Texas System. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of undergraduate courses related to business analytics and information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in business analytics, decision science, data science, and business information systems
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students
- Contribute to the development of the School of Business and the University of North Texas System
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication
- Master's degree in a business field with at least 18 graduate hours in analytics, decision sciences, data science, information systems, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in analytics, decision science, data science, business information systems, or a related discipline
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills
- Evidence of ability to contribute to the positive culture of our school, university, and community
- Doctoral degree in business specializing in analytics, decision science, data science, information systems, or related discipline from an AACSB-accredited school
- Experience teaching introductory undergraduate business statistics and upper-level courses in decision sciences, data sciences, and business analytics
- Experience using technology in teaching and experiences teaching in multiple modalities (i.e., hybrid, online, and on-ground courses)
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools, databases SQL (with experience in databases like Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.), NoSQL (JASON, XML, YAML, ETC.), and programming languages for analytics including not limited to R, Python (with a focus on libraries such as NumPy and Pandas), and visualization software Tableau and Microsoft Power BI
