Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ascension. As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging child care and educational activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely documentation of all required activities and interactions.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our students by maintaining a clean and organized environment, and recommending new equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians, incorporating their recommendations into our daily routine.
Requirements
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Infant-Toddler CDA certification or Illinois Gateways Level 2 infant-toddler certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Associate's degree in early childhood education preferred.
  • Director-qualified (21 ECE credit hours and 3 business/admin credit hours) a plus.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in early childcare is expected.
