Radiologic Technologist

Primary Functions
  • Demonstrate the ability to use problem-solving skills to reach independent decisions, tailoring exams to the patient's condition and level of cooperation as necessary.
  • Select appropriate radiation exposure factors according to body area, body habitus, and patient condition.
  • Use skills to obtain diagnostic quality images consistently while minimizing radiation exposure to patient.
  • Produce thorough exam documentation on a consistent basis.
  • Demonstrate competency in the operation of Imaging equipment by following safe operating procedures as recommended by original equipment manufacturer.

Background/Expertise
  • One (1) year of experience in X-Ray preferred. Not Required.
  • Requires BLS from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • Must have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Must be licensed with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in Radiography.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification within Six (6) months of hire.
