Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Management System (EMS) Compliance: Ensure conformance to ISO 14001 certification and maintain documentation supporting the facility's implementation of the EMS program.
  • Risk Management Program (RMP) Compliance: Ensure facility compliance with the RMP/PSM program, including permit applications for modifications and renewals.
  • Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation: Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Air Permitting and Reporting: Ensure compliance with air permitting and reporting requirements, including EPCRA reporting.
  • Storm Water Pollution Prevention: Implement storm water pollution prevention measures to prevent contamination of waterways.
  • Spill Prevention Controls and Countermeasures: Develop and implement spill prevention controls and countermeasures to prevent environmental hazards.
  • Hazardous Waste Management: Ensure compliance with hazardous waste management regulations, including proper disposal and storage.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM): Lead the identification of and response to environmental and process safety management needs and concerns of regulators, company management, and employees.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records related to environmental management and PSM programs.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for employees to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in environmental management, process safety management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to various audiences.
