The Opportunity: We're seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join our team on a 13-week assignment in El Paso, Texas. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled group of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock and equipment are available and in working condition.
Preparing patients and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing sites of entry, draping patients, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
Operating and maintaining all equipment used in the cardiac cath lab, including knowledge of related equipment within the laboratory.
Scrubbing in during procedures and assisting physicians in maneuvering catheters.
Obtaining and recording hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
Monitoring patients' hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab.
Participating in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Requirements:
1 year of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist.
ARRT (R) - CI certification or CCI-RCIS certification.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
State-specific licensing when required.
Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on an 8-hour shift and 40 hours per week. Additionally, you can expect a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Please note that pay packages may vary depending on individual circumstances.
