Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team at Parham Doctors' Hospital. As a Float Pool RN, you will have the opportunity to work in various units throughout the facility, including ICU's, Telemetry Units, Medical/Surgical Units, and Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and administrative support on the unit, working closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.
  • Administer all prescribed medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Instruct and educate patients and their family members on various aspects of their care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
  • Required minimum of three years of acute care experience with demonstrated and proven competency in several specialty areas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
