Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. This role is responsible for assessing patients and safely performing routine nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Verifies physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
- Utilizes radiology information systems to facilitate care
- Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding
- Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
- Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards

Requirements

- High school graduate or equivalent
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRT or equivalent body as recognized by the ACR
- Current license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

- Healthcare experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on-call rotation schedule
