Nursing Staff Coordinator

Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced Nursing Staff Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the nursing schedule for all units and shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the nursing schedule for all units and shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels and meeting minimum PPD requirements.
- Communicate with nursing staff to fill open shift needs and ensure timely updates on staffing levels.
- Input new schedules and adjust existing schedules using our software program (Smartlinx).
- Find replacement staff when necessary to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
- Complete daily timekeeping functions, staffing reports, and process nursing staff time off requests in a timely manner.
- Reconcile 24-hour staffing sheets and calculate PPD daily in accordance with DOH standards.
- Maintain vacation/PTO requests process and ensure shifts are covered.
- Communicate open positions to nursing leadership and HR.
- Coordinate with outside nursing agencies for staffing needs and ensure all required credentials are obtained.
- Keep nursing leadership abreast of daily staffing status.
- At least 1 year of experience in staffing and scheduling, preferably in an in-patient or long-term care setting.
- Prior experience with Smartlinx is preferred.
- Clinical experience is a bonus.
- Associates degree or equivalent is required.
- Must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical/drug screen.
