The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager at Saint-Gobain S.A. plays a pivotal role in driving the company's commitment to world-class safety, health, and environmental performance. This leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and foster a culture of sustainability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute EHS policies, procedures, and programs to minimize environmental impact and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, including injury and illness rates, environmental incidents, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in EHS leadership roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in EHS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions to EHS challenges.
