Nurse Clinician

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team at West River Health Services. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing various clinical tasks in our outpatient/ambulatory areas.

This role involves delivering nursing care and performing a wide range of patient care activities. You will work closely with our healthcare providers to assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education to patients and families.

• Providing Direct Care: Deliver nursing care and perform a wide range of patient care activities, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing education to patients and families.
• Clinical Decision Making: Assess patient status and needs through phone conversations, provide referrals or nursing advice, and document accordingly.
• Medication Administration: Safely administer medications routinely and on an emergency basis as ordered by the provider.
• Patient Education: Provide education to patients prior to medication administration, allergy injections, and immunizations, and accurately chart medications administered and procedures performed.

• Education: Meet requirements in ND and SD Century Code for licensure and Standards of Practice.
• Experience: On-site training.
• Licensure: ND and/or SD LPN license, Basic Life Support, and ACLS certification if required by clinic manager.
