Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer Position at Salem Health Hospital

As an Ultrasound Technologist with Salem Health Hospital, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations while delivering top-notch patient care. This role requires exceptional communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide complete and accurate diagnostic information.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform procedures in compliance with department's technical procedure manual or deviations requested by attending radiologist.
Correlate sonographic findings with clinical findings and results of previous imaging exams.
Analyze examination for completeness, document findings, gather additional information beyond that called for by standard protocols when necessary.
Provide pertinent communication to the patient, significant others, and healthcare providers.
Utilize imaging equipment to assist radiologist with guidance and localization. Assist physician as needed with proper supplies and equipment during procedures.
Requirements:
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Sonography required.
One year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech preferred.
BLS from the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire.
Active Sonography license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) required.
Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in both Abdomen and OB/GYN within 1 year of hire.
