Job Summary

Carastar Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our team. As an In-Home Therapist, you will provide direct intervention services to severely emotionally/behaviorally disturbed children and their families in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and implement treatment programs for children and families in need.
  • Provide individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques and strategies.
  • Document clinical charts, including intakes and therapy sessions, to ensure accurate and comprehensive records.
  • Facilitate in-home therapy sessions, implementing treatment plans and providing guidance and support to families.
  • Collaborate with Department of Human Resources, Family Court, and other agencies to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
  • Provide transportation to children and families as needed, ensuring safe and reliable transportation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, supporting the overall mission and goals of Carastar Health.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.
  • Knowledge of psychotherapy principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Understanding of psychotropic medications, including their use and potential side effects.
  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance to in-home counselors, promoting clinical growth and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of children and families.
  • Participation in a rotating 24-hour on-call roster, ensuring timely and responsive support.
  • Ability to establish rapport with clients, building trust and fostering positive relationships.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
  • ALC, LPC, LGSW, or LCSW licensure preferred, but not required.
  • Some clinical experience preferred, but not necessary.
  • Ability to meet requirements for Approved Medicaid Provider status.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, with liability coverage on personal vehicles.
  • Current Red Cross First Aid, CPI, and CPR certification.
