As a Cardiac Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to cardiac surgery patients, including pre- and post-operative care, as well as care for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize advanced cardiac life support skills, including titration of insulin drips, defibrillation, and cardioversion.
- Utilize Epic charting system to document patient information, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Participate in unit-specific initiatives, such as quality improvement projects and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac care setting, with a strong focus on cardiac surgery and cardiovascular conditions.
- EPIC experience required, with proficiency in titration of insulin drips, defibrillation, and cardioversion.
- HA Fire card must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.
- Experience working in a cardiac surgery unit, with a focus on pre- and post-operative care.
- Strong cardiac skills, including titration of insulin drips, defibrillation, and cardioversion.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
