Unit Highlights- 36 Bed Cardiac Specialty Unit
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4 to 5:1 on Day Shift / 5 to 6:1 on Night Shift – 1 Tech per Hall
- Diverse patient population including those with Chest Pain, Stroke, COPD, Post-Operative conditions, GI issues, Accelerated Heart Rhythm, and IV Drips
- Step-down unit from PCU and Level II Trauma Center
- Supportive leadership focused on career development and advancement opportunities
- Collaborative team environment fostering support, guidance, and education
- Coordinate and deliver therapeutic and administrative services essential for patient care.
- Provide nursing care in alignment with hospital policies and the mission of the health center.
- Care for patients aged 16 and above, including young adults, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Stabilize patients under 16 for transfer as necessary.
- Develop advanced knowledge in the psychosocial, spiritual, pathophysiological, and therapeutic aspects of cardiac monitoring and step-down care.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies for unsafe practices.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, ADN, or BSN.
- Current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or a Multistate RN license from a participating compact state.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of hire.
