Veterinary Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to support our team of veterinarians and technicians in providing exceptional patient care and service to our clients.

About the Role:

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with medical procedures, including preparing surgical suites and patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
  • Provide compassionate care and support to boarded and hospitalized pets.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the veterinary team in providing high-quality patient care and service.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining medical records and preparing prescriptions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
