Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while working.
  • Conduct minor to moderate repairs and troubleshooting with minimal oversight.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement solutions.
  • Disassemble and reassemble components, ensuring proper installation of parts.
  • Test and confirm the functionality of all repairs performed.
  • Document job-related activities, including service reports and parts orders, while maintaining accurate customer records.
  • Operate service vehicles in compliance with all licensing requirements.
  • Maintain inspection records and driver logs as mandated by the Department of Transportation.
  • Follow contamination control and HAZMAT regulations diligently.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are kept in good working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
  • Possession of personal tools necessary for repairs.
  • In-depth understanding of equipment, tools, and their maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, transmissions, engines, and electrical components.
  • Proficiency in using current software and hardware relevant to the job.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to operate cranes and forklifts, with the necessary certifications.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Good manual dexterity and coordination.

Education and Experience:

  • At least one year of experience with compact construction equipment is required; three years is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • MSHA and air conditioning certifications are advantageous.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel is necessary, including potential overnight stays.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
