Your role is crucial. Each position contributes to our patients' well-being, and you have the chance to make a significant impact. We seek a committed Lead Apheresis Nurse in Oncology to join our team.
Key Responsibilities and QualificationsThe Lead Apheresis Nurse exhibits advanced understanding of human development, patient assessment, treatment options, and care for patients across various age groups as per the Scope of Service. This role requires expertise in hematologic malignancies and oncology patient care, including Stem Cell Transplantation, stem cell apheresis, and photopheresis. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to tailor care to individual patient needs and demonstrate proficiency in technical skills relevant to this specialty. Customer service excellence is a priority, and the nurse will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the quality management plan for the stem cell collection facility, ensuring compliance with FACT/FDA standards in collaboration with regulatory leadership.
Educational Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of three years of clinical experience in hematology-oncology and/or apheresis is required.
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in Florida or an active compact license is necessary. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, with Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification to be obtained within six months of hire and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification within one year.
