Patient Care Technician Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis team at Health Systems Management. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with and prepare patients for dialysis treatment
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and document their medical records
  • Perform access cannulation and report any difficulties to the lead nurse
  • Monitor the dialysis machine for any malfunctions and report them to the lead nurse
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort, including assisting with personal care needs and activities of daily living

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Healthcare experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work long hours and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Must pass the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam within 18 months of employment
