Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee multiple tax engagements, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients.
2. Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and exempt organizations.
3. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships while demonstrating a deep understanding of their business needs.
4. Draft internal memoranda, correspondence, and documents for submission to tax authorities.
5. Provide training and guidance to junior staff, reviewing their work for quality assurance.
6. Ensure engagements are managed within budget and time constraints while achieving high client satisfaction.
7. Identify potential tax planning opportunities and anticipate business issues.
8. Handle audits at federal, state, and local levels.
9. Conduct research and provide consultation on complex tax matters.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is required.
3. At least 5 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on financial statement preparation and audits.
4. Experience in Healthcare Tax, Business Tax, and handling 1090s is preferred.
5. Proven track record as a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager.
6. In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, and various tax returns.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
8. Exceptional client service skills with a talent for building lasting relationships.
9. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
10. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
