Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at New Bridge Medical Center. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our behavioral health team.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collects data from patients, families, or significant others and records on Initial Data Base forms.
  • Contributes to the formulation and updating of plan of care and implements plan of care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Gives direct nursing care to assigned patients, including medications, treatments, dressing changes, and vital signs.
  • Recognizes changes in patient condition and responds appropriately, notifying the charge nurse as needed.
  • Documents pertinent information regarding patient responses and nursing interventions in patient medical records.
  • Administers medication according to hospital policies.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Practical Nursing or equivalent education as described by the State Education Law.
  • Current NJ license as an LPN.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Clinical nursing skills appropriate for an LPN.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Speaks, reads, and writes English to the extent required by the position.

  • Experience as an LPN in a behavioral health setting.

  • Spanish: Novice.
