Job Opportunity: Direct Support Professional 2

Bridgewell, a nonprofit organization providing innovative social and human services, has an exciting job opportunity for a Direct Support Professional 2. This role is crucial in helping individuals with disabilities and other life challenges achieve their full potential.

Position Overview

This is a 35-hour-per-week position working Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. As a Direct Support Professional 2, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals requiring daily care and supervision in a home environment and in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support individuals in developing skills and fostering independence through training and guidance.
  2. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive care.
  4. Document and maintain records according to regulatory requirements.
  5. Transport individuals to medical appointments, recreational activities, and other community events.
  6. Develop and implement individualized plans to address specific needs and goals.
  7. Administer medications and provide basic first aid when necessary.
  8. Stay up-to-date with ongoing training and certification requirements.
  9. Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, families, and the community.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year based on location and experience.
