Bridgewell, a nonprofit organization providing innovative social and human services, has an exciting job opportunity for a Direct Support Professional 2. This role is crucial in helping individuals with disabilities and other life challenges achieve their full potential.
Position OverviewThis is a 35-hour-per-week position working Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. As a Direct Support Professional 2, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals requiring daily care and supervision in a home environment and in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals in developing skills and fostering independence through training and guidance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive care.
- Document and maintain records according to regulatory requirements.
- Transport individuals to medical appointments, recreational activities, and other community events.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address specific needs and goals.
- Administer medications and provide basic first aid when necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with ongoing training and certification requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, families, and the community.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year based on location and experience.
