Custodial Worker Job Description

Join the City of Henderson, KY team as a Custodial Worker and contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. As a key member of our Public Works Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our Municipal Center and other department facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, windows, and other facilities and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and re-stocking supplies
  • Conduct grounds maintenance tasks including trimming shrubbery, weeding plant beds, and shoveling snow
  • Set up and take down furniture and equipment as directed
  • Report facility maintenance requirements to the Facility Supervisor
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in custodial/maintenance work preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
