Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality of our preservation and coatings services, adhering to established Navy regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality control inspections and audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain Test and Inspection Plans (TIPs) for assigned jobs.
  • Monitor and document environmental readings, including metal anchor tooth profiles, paint wet/dry film thickness, and steel temperatures.
  • Collaborate with customer QA personnel to ensure seamless communication and quality delivery.
  • Ensure all assigned equipment is maintained in good working order and calibrated within certification intervals.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • NACE Inspector and/or SSPC NBPI certification required.
  • Formal or informal on-the-job training in the marine industry, with familiarity with Navy and Society for Protective Coatings standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customer representatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:

This position requires regular standing for long periods, working on scaffolds and ladders, and exposure to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and hazardous materials. Overtime and shift work may be required, with frequent travel to various job sites.
