We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Family Car Group. As a Toyota Certified Technician, you will be responsible for examining and diagnosing vehicles, discussing repairs with our shop foreman or service advisor, and communicating additional service requests to our service advisor.
Key Responsibilities- Examine and Diagnose Vehicles: Use your technical expertise to identify and diagnose vehicle issues, ensuring accurate and efficient repairs.
- Discuss Repairs with Shop Foreman or Service Advisor: Collaborate with our team to discuss repair options and ensure seamless communication with our customers.
- Communicate Additional Service Requests: Inform our service advisor of any additional services required, ensuring our customers receive the best possible experience.
- Plan Work in Cooperation with Shop Foreman: Work closely with our shop foreman to plan and prioritize work, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Provide Labor Estimates to Service Advisor: Accurately estimate labor costs and provide detailed estimates to our service advisor.
- Monitor Repair Time and Update Service Advisor: Keep our service advisor informed of repair progress and update them on any changes or delays.
- Maintain Strict Adherence to Dealership Policies: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with our dealership's policies and procedures.
- Complete Story and/or Documentation for Client Repairs: Accurately document all repairs and provide detailed information to our customers.
- Assist in Mentoring Technician Trainees: Share your expertise and knowledge with our technician trainees, helping them develop their skills and expertise.
- Attend Company and Factory Training: Stay up-to-date with the latest technical training and attend company and factory training sessions as required.
- Keep Current with Factory Technical Bulletins: Stay informed of the latest technical bulletins and updates from Toyota, ensuring our dealership remains at the forefront of automotive technology.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 months of related experience and/or training
- Operator Driver's License and State Inspection License
