Scope of Work: The role involves providing patient care in accordance with established care plans, unit protocols, and hospital policies under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities include:

  • Safe transportation of patients using wheelchairs or stretchers, ensuring proper documentation of services.
  • Serving as an Observer for patients requiring constant monitoring, either in-person or through remote video systems, to enhance their safety.
  • Performing general receptionist and clerical tasks to support the efficient operation of the nursing unit.
  • Documenting care provided in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in a hospital or nursing home setting.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • Current CAN certification is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills and accurate documentation abilities.
  • Ability to interact efficiently with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Capability to assist in moving or lifting patients and equipment.
