Meat Cutter

Job Summary:

As a Meat Cutter at Mitchell Grocery Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring our meat department is well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products. You will also be responsible for ordering and stocking pre-packaged meat items, assisting customers with special requests, and answering questions about our meat products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and stock meat department products
• Cut, grind, wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise meat department products
• Order and stock pre-packaged meat items
• Assist customers with special requests and answer questions about meat products and services
• Maintain a clean work area and assist with unloading trucks
• Work safely with equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must be able to work safely with equipment, maintain a clean work area, and provide excellent customer service. You should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
