Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist with expertise in QuickBooks to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for ensuring that financial data is accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute various accounting functions, including:
  • Processing bank deposits and performing bank reconciliations.
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable, along with payroll processing.
  • Preparing detailed budgets and expense reports.
  • Reviewing the aging reports for accounts receivable and payable.
  • Collaborating with external CPA for timely filing of sales taxes.
  • Maintaining the general ledger by ensuring accurate record-keeping and posting journal entries.
  • Providing support for scheduling and managing the company calendar.
  • Delivering excellent customer service, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Generating and updating inventory reports.
  • Creating invoices for sales transactions.
  • Assisting with tax planning and preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Developing and enhancing accounting procedures for improved efficiency.
  • Offering accounting support to operations and management.
  • Completing additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma is required; a BA in Accounting is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and reporting, including compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and QuickBooks.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience specifically with QuickBooks.
