Your responsibilities as a Telecommunications Aerial Supervisor

• Install and maintain aerial telecommunications cabling
• Safely operate construction equipment and vehicles
• Ensure a secure work site setup and uphold a safe working environment, utilizing signage, cones, and safety barriers, and occasionally directing traffic
• Comprehend separation and clearance regulations
• Demonstrate the ability to work at heights
• Interpret and execute design plans and other job-related instructions
• Safely maintain and operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with all safety specifications and traffic laws
• Manage inventory on vehicles based on assigned tasks

Qualifications required

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Prior experience in construction, preferably within the telecommunications field
• Familiarity with established aerial cable installation practices and techniques
• Capability to climb utility poles and operate bucket trucks, working at heights of up to 40 feet
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to trenching and drilling, including setup and emergency procedures
• Understanding of fundamental and advanced construction principles

Additional qualifications

• A valid, unrestricted driver's license (Commercial driver's license preferred but not mandatory)
• Willingness to work overtime, after hours, weekends, for emergencies, or on-call

Physical requirements and exposures

• Regularly: Work independently in remote areas and confined spaces, operate vehicles and heavy machinery, perform tasks requiring arm elevation, fine motor skills, bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting over 55 pounds. Visual capabilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as necessary.
• Occasionally: Employees may encounter exposure to hazardous chemicals and moving machinery components.

Salary Range: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
