Job Title: Ultrasound Tech

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Tech to join our team at Palmetto General Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures, including Abdominal, OB-Gyn, and Vascular exams.

Job Summary:
  • Perform ultrasound procedures with accuracy and precision
  • Utilize ICAVL protocols for Vascular exams
  • Exercise independent judgment to complete Diagnostic exams
  • Work under the direction of the Ultrasound Supervisor/Vascular Lab Technical Director
  • Adhere to established procedures and consult with supervisor as needed
Requirements:
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Ultrasound program
  • One year of imaging experience preferred (Hospital experience preferred)
  • Ability to perform Abdominal, OB-Gyn, and Vascular sonograms
  • Skilled to perform exams on patients of all ages
  • Computer skills with knowledge of HIS, RIS, and PACS systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ARDMS certification in Abdominal Sonography
  • Certification in Vascular Technology
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RT(VS)) certification
  • ARDMS certification in OB-GYN Sonography
