We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at the University of Miami. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing physical therapy and wellness services to patients and clients with impairments, functional disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate new patients, establish goals, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Document all evaluations, treatments, and other pertinent patient interactions on a daily basis.
- Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions and provide instructions for home activities.
- Communicate with physicians and their staff to obtain necessary information and suggest revisions in treatment tools and equipment.
- Maintain a satisfactory level of productivity and demonstrate willingness to adjust personal schedule in case of crisis or real clinic need.
- Participate in quality and safety improvement activities.
- Orient, instruct, and direct work activities for assistants and support personnel.
- Utilize appropriate methods and materials for learning programs, monitors effectiveness, and adapts programs accordingly.
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- Certification in a relevant specialty or field.
- No experience required.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
