  • Develop and implement treatment plans, collaborating with patients and their families to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Administer daily treatments, ensuring that plans are age-appropriate and patient-specific.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants and extenders, teaching them techniques to administer treatments safely and effectively.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and significant others, addressing their learning needs and preferences.
  • Document patient evaluations, plans of care, and treatments in the electronic medical record, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in ongoing educational activities, including program development, departmental initiatives, and continuing education requirements.
  • Maintain productive daily operations, monitoring productivity metrics and utilizing ancillary staff efficiently.
Requirements
  • Physical Therapist licensure in Illinois, with proof of application for licensure submitted if out of state.
  • BLS CPR Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance, with patient handling equipment used when necessary.
