Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to adult patients in an outpatient setting. This includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical services to adult patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and standards of care.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
- Supervises and educates students, new employees, and colleagues as needed.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care and services provided.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state Speech Pathologist license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Basic computer skills, including word processing and email.
- Current certificate of clinical competence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with adult patients in an outpatient setting.
- Experience with the target population to be treated.
Physical Requirements:
- Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
