Canine Stylist and Caregiver

At Pets World, we are seeking a skilled Canine Stylist and Caregiver to join our team. As a key member of our grooming department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to detail in every aspect of pet grooming.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of grooming experience and be able to consistently follow company policies and procedures. You must also be outgoing, friendly, and helpful, with a strong achievement drive and empathy for animals.

As a Canine Stylist and Caregiver, your key responsibilities will include:

• Greeting customers and communicating with them to determine the best way to groom their dog.
• Educating clients on different packages and benefits.
• Promoting add-on services and retail.
• Bathing and clipping dogs to conform to breed-specific styles.
• Detangling and removing matted hair, drying the coat, checking for parasites and skin conditions, trimming nails, cleaning ears, and expressing glands.
• Brushing teeth, providing excellent customer service, and showing care and compassion for animals.
• Managing time effectively, staying informed about pet industry and grooming standards, and operating customer record retention.
• Answering phones, booking appointments, and maintaining a clean facility and equipment.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 1 year of grooming experience.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds regularly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting.

We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and employer-sponsored retirement plan.
