Job Summary

We are seeking a Full-time Clinical Addictions Counselor to join our team at our Men's Residential Facility. As a Clinical Addictions Counselor, you will be responsible for providing the highest standard of care to our current clients, working under the supervision of our onsite Clinical Supervisor. This role will contribute to the weekly clinical team discussions and participate in the expansion of our community care treatments programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions, groups, and/or family meetings
  • Facilitate substance use groups and monitor specialty life skills courses
  • Complete substance use clinical assessments and assist residents in setting goals and aftercare stepdown planning
  • Document all clinical notes in our secure EMR system in line with company timeframe standards
Requirements
  • Certificate of completion in addiction counseling, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
  • Appropriate Maryland state licensing and/or credentials such as ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC, LGPC, LMSW
  • Working knowledge of ASAM criteria and regulatory standards of care
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience working in the field of addiction treatment and/or mental health counseling as a licensed provider
  • Experience facilitating therapeutic groups and administering clinical assessments
  • Experience with treatment planning, clinical notations, and EMR charting
  • Ability to pass local and federal background checks and clear a full panel drug screening
  • Ability to handle crisis intervention with strong de-escalation skills
